FAQ
Heatwave Readiness Assessment — FAQ for small businesses
What it costs, what you get, how long it takes, and how it fits the regulations small businesses actually face.
What is a Heatwave Readiness Assessment?+
A Heatwave Readiness Assessment is a written plan tailored to your workplace, staff and operations that covers staff safety, workplace cooling priorities, customer communication, equipment protection and emergency response. WorkplaceReady turns a short questionnaire into the assessment plus a one-page action checklist, an executive report and a readiness score — all delivered inside your Business Readiness Workspace.
How much does a Heatwave Readiness Assessment cost?+
€99 one-time for the Heatwave Readiness Assessment, or €199 per year for WorkplaceReady Annual, which includes every current and future readiness module (power outage, flood, cybersecurity, supply chain, staff wellbeing, cashflow and business continuity).
How long does the questionnaire take?+
About 5 to 8 minutes. You complete one reusable Business Profile covering staff safety, workplace details and operations. Every future WorkplaceReady module builds on that same profile — you never re-enter your business details.
What do I actually receive?+
A customised Heatwave Readiness Plan (8–12 pages), a one-page action checklist, staff safety recommendations, customer communication templates, a cooling and equipment priority list, emergency response steps, an interactive Business Dashboard and a downloadable executive report.
Who is WorkplaceReady for?+
Small businesses with a physical workplace: cafés, restaurants, bars, independent clinics, dental and veterinary practices, workshops, warehouses, light manufacturing, retail and professional services. The assessment is written for owners and operations managers, not safety consultants.
Does this satisfy OSHA heat-safety requirements?+
WorkplaceReady's Heatwave Readiness Assessment is built around the same building blocks regulators look for — a written plan, monitoring, water/rest/shade, acclimatisation, training and incident response. It is practical readiness guidance, not legal advice. Confirm the specifics with your state OSHA program or local health and safety regulator.
How is this different from a free template I can download?+
Templates are generic. WorkplaceReady scores your real workplace, identifies the operational risks specific to your industry, size and setup, and produces a written plan tailored to those answers. You also get a readiness score so you can measure progress over time, not just one PDF.
When will the other modules (power, flood, cyber, supply chain) be available?+
Heatwave Readiness is available today. The remaining modules — Power Outage Readiness, Flood Readiness, Cybersecurity Readiness, Supply Chain Disruption, Staff Wellbeing, Cashflow Disruption, Business Continuity and Manager Decision Support — are on the roadmap and will appear inside the same Business Readiness Workspace as they launch. WorkplaceReady Annual includes them automatically.
Is my business data secure?+
Yes. Your Business Profile and assessment data are stored in your private Business Readiness Workspace. Only you (and any admin you authorise) can see your assessment, executive report and readiness history.
Can I get a refund?+
If your Heatwave Readiness Assessment does not generate correctly, contact support and we will fix it or refund the €99. The annual plan can be cancelled at any time and will not renew.
